The Development Team is pleased to announce the new 'stable'-version of 2.8.2 today. From now on WebsiteBaker 2.8.2 is available on this site for download.
After long and extensive testing the last RC of Websitebaker 2.8.2 is available. Thank you to the community for the constructive discussions!
The most important changes concern the security of WebsiteBaker. With the introduction of the new class "secureForm" WebsiteBaker recieved quite some profound changes. Due to the expressed concerns and valued suggestions of the Community the multitab capabilities will be introduced into this class in one of the next DEV-Versions of WB. From that moment on every siteadministrator can then configure the required securitylevel himself.
Today we launched the new version of the addon repository.
Currently it has the same downloads available as the old version, but we are working hard to fill the repository with more usefull addons soon.
At Christmas time the first WebsiteBaker 2.8.2 Release Candidate is available. Various small bugs from previous versions were fixed.
In preparation for the move of the server there will be a restart to confirm all required services are restarting fine on our server. For this reason the server will be taken offline tomorrow morning,
there is a server downtime scheduled on Friday the 5th of November starting at 10:30 PM CET. The Server where both the main WebsiteBaker Site and the Forum are hosted will move Datacenter.
As some of you might have realised nothing seems to have been done towards the outside and it looks like WebsiteBaker is just ideling along through the wide cms world. Actually in the background a lot happened.
Lots has been restructured within the association and also the crew had to reorient itself to be able to go on renewed and better than ever with full steam.
The Development Team has decided that WebsiteBaker will not officially support PHP versions less than 5.2.2 by the 1st August 2010. All future feature releases (and their maintenance releases), beginning with WebsiteBaker 2.8.2, will require PHP 5.2.2 or greater.
A security vulnerability in the backup module in WebsiteBaker Core CMS version 2.7, 2.8.0, 2.8.1 (until SVN revision number 1308) has been found. Please update all your passwords after fixing!
